German Resistance Memorial

The foundation "German Resistance Memorial" has launched a new section of its exhibition "Silent Heroes" in the Museum Blindenwerkstadt Otto Weidt. The exhibition's central element is an interactive touch desk of more than 5 meter length. The touch desk is predominantly encased with glass and encompasses 11 individual 32" TFT touch displays that can be operated through the glass encasing. Due to the museum's narrow staircase the exhibit had to be dissembled into several smaller cubes. Yet another floor features interactive audio and video technology engineered and produced by heddier electronic GmbH. The conceptualization as well as the media design was developed by the planning agency Lehmann & Werder, Berlin. The grand opening was conducted by the mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, as well as by the State Minister for Cultural Affairs, Bernd Neumann.
