In fact, at train stations and airport the use of electronic tickers has long become an established means signalling arrival and departure times. Likewise, it is possible to use electronic tickers in underground and metro cars in order to display advertisements at a specific moment in time and targeting a particular audience. Even hotels, supermarkets, and shops make more and more use of digital signage, a practice that is gradually taken up by business companies for self-marketing (e.g. through business-TV for employees).
