heddier Sound Tube
Sound tubes made by heddier present an entirely new and fascinating way for museums and exhibitions to communicate audio and information files to their audience. The sound tube is attached to the ceiling by means of almost invisible steel strings rendering the impression to be floating freely in the air. Only upon looking closely, the visitor is able to distinguish the fine steel strings. Additional cables, batteries or radio circuits are not required. As soon as a visitor touches (either by hand or by resting one's head) the sound tube, it starts dispensing the corresponding information. The audio files are rendered via 2 stereo speakers installed inside the sound tube. A high-quality and well-balanced acoustic distribution throughout the exhibition hall is thus ensured.
A microprocessor control installed within the sound tube allows miscellaneous interactive functions. Anything is possible: from simply playing a single file to skipping between various audio records. A special feature is the touch-and-play mode: as soon as the visitor stops touching the sound tube, the playback breaks off immediately so that other visitors are not unnecessarily bothered.
Our sound tubes are available in different forms, sizes and colours. Special forms such as organ pipes, animal forms or flying models are available by request as well. It is also possible to hook up video displays and external speakers via additional cables or via radio communication. On demand, the sounds tubes are also available in combination with other installation solutions or for installations on walls.
