Funktionsbeschreibung: Der Monitor im Bild ist an einer Schiene befestigt und lässt sich in horizontaler Richtung bewegen.Verschiebt man diesen Monitor nun auf der Zeitschiene zeigt er dem Besucher, je nach Position, bestimmte Informationen zur Geschichte des Computers.
Die Wand an der die Schiene befestigt ist, dient als eine Art Legende. So wird der Besucher interaktiv in die Steuerung des Geschehens mit einbezogen. Er kann Teile überspringen oder doppelt spielen.
Dabei verdeutlicht die Position des Monitors auf der Schiene die geschichtliche Abfolge. Durch die Zeitleiste im Hintergrund wird die Bedienung zum Kinderspiel. Im Heinz-Nixdorf-Forum wurden zusätzlich noch spezielle Touchmonitore mit Glasscheiben verbaut.

Functional Characteristics:The screen illustrated in the picture is fastened to a rail which can be moved horizontally. If the visitor moves the screen along the timeline he or she will be shown the history of the computer consistent with the position on the timeline.
The wall to which the rail is attached functions as a key legend. This way, the visitor is interactively involved into the history of the Computer. Thus, the visitor has the option to skip or repeat specific sections of the historical timeline.
Here, the monitor's position clarifies the historical chronology. Thanks to the background-timeline the handling is a piece of cake. Moreover, special touch screen featuring glass panels were installed at the Heinz-Nixdorf-Forum.
