The Radar Sensor 1Z is the ideal tool to be implemented in museums and exhibitions. Its compact construction form as well as its ability to permeate non-conductive material allows an easy, fast and concealed installation.
Depending on its position, the Radar Sensor works in accordance with a clearly defined preferential direction. Within this direction, the Radar Sensor is able to identify human beings within a distance of 2 - 3 meters. Conditional on the individual's height and the way of approach, the maximum range of coverage might vary to a slight extent. With the help of a potentiometer, however, it is possible to precisely adjust the sensitivity and thus also the range of coverage.
Problems as occurring with IR-motion detectors are ruled out with the Radar Sensor 1Z. Accordingly, the Sensor does not respond to air flows due to air conditions or other thermal irritations. Even vandalism - such as damaging of the Fresnel Lens - is not possible.
The hook-up is carried out via a 9-12 Volt DC operating voltage. The Open-Collector output (maximum load capacity 200 mA) allows the hook-up to miscellaneous devices.
